Module 3: What can I eat?

Nutrition is a key factor in managing diabetes. The goal of nutrition therapy is to achieve and maintain healthy blood glucose levels while meeting the individual's nutritional needs. Many factors influence a person's ability to make healthy food choices. People with type 2 diabetes are often overweight so their nutritional goals should include a healthy body weight.

The Canadian Diabetes Association (CDA) recommends consulting a registered dietitian.
